Andrew Vaden

Andrew Vaden is an associate in Covington & Burling’s Washington, DC office. His practice focuses on litigation and on privacy and cybersecurity matters.

From 2015 to 2016, Mr. Vaden was a law clerk for the Honorable Priscilla R. Owen of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Before attending Stanford Law School, he was a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State from 2004 to 2012, and served in Macedonia, Haiti, and Washington, DC.

Mr. Vaden is a member of the California bar. He is currently not admitted in the District of Columbia but is supervised by principals of the firm.
